A new collaboration with the Oslo Domkor from Norway

We are delighted to be sharing a stage with the fine Oslo Domkor (Oslo Cathedral Choir, Norway) in a specially designed programme to make the most of our different and combined forces.  The first concert will be in Southwark Cathedral, London on 27 May 2017, starting at 5pm – yes, unusually early for a London concert, and there is no entry fee.

ET ECCE TERRAE MOTUS – A powerful awakening – a musical interplay of images of power and light, with the opulent twelve-voice mass ‘Et ecce terrae motus’ (And behold, there was an earthquake) by Antoine Brumel (c.1460 – c.1513), and virtuosic motets and chansons by Guillaume Dufay (c.1397-1474). Music based on the chant and scored for a combination of the two performing ensembles, large and small, frames the sequence, including a newly composed piece by Andrew Smith (*1970).
